The annual sheik festival on the west bank of Luxor is quite a spectacle and is a wonderful show of horsemanship. Click Here to see the Animal Welfare of Luxor web site for more pictures.

Marcy decides it is his turn for a hug. Not totally sure that Molly agrees but as Marcy was celebrating his first birthday who could complain.

Having breakfast on the patio one morning we were suddenly aware of several balloons passing much too close by, looking for somewhere to land. This picture was taken from the end of our garden.

View from the patio. The new metal fence along the end of our paved patio area has yet to be painted but we had it made to keep Marcy and Tufty safe.

At the front of the villa we have Suker making the area into a courtyard with lights and fixed bench seating. It is really beginning to look nice.

Captain Abdo, who fishes the stretch of the Nile along by the villa, cleans his boat as it slowly drifts back after setting his nets.
